At its largest scale, this work maps the full tension of the collection — layered collapse and survival, where dripped white lines read as rain, as music, as the marks a life leaves on its way through. Deep shadows give way to a buried ground of quinacridone and nickel azo gold. Neon pink interrupts the grey not as decoration, but as the thing that refuses to be erased. Built across weeks of accumulated mark-making, scraping, and water-carried pigment, this painting holds every decision made and unmade in its surface.
